Early '90s PoHo Photos
Hi. My name is Kjrstn Barranti. I attended youth conferences at Powell House in the early 1990s. I acquired a great number of photographs over the few years I spent going to PoHo and want to share them with those who cherish the place and the memories created there. I have quite a few, and more will be added to my Flickr site as time allows. Enjoy! And feel free to pass on the address to those who may not be on this community.

Thanks!

hey everyone, happy holidays! i'm in charge of putting together a newsletter for cyf (circle of young friends), and i was wondering if you might be able to write a short article about what you are doing these days. it doesnt have to be part you dont have to worry about too much -long or even really good - i would appreciate anything you can contibute. the idea is just to keep up with young friends and what they are doing with their lives and how they are using their quakerism in their everyday lives (the last if you want to throw in a sentence about the light, knock yourself out...)
please please please, if you are part of cyf (meaning, a graduate of jym or the powell house youth program, age 18-35), think about contributing!
articles don't have to be limited to your work or service - any experiences that you think have been significant to you as a quaker, you know.

heyyy
I know it's a little early in the year to be planning for new years...but:

I was thinking that maybe we should try to get as many people as we can (especially 06 grads) to go to the new years celebration at poho. Since a lot of people are at school the rest of the year, i think it would be cool if we could all reunite.

If you're interested please comment on this entry.

We need to start a "Get Jeff and Peter to Silver Bay" fund for next year.
It was Jeff's idea:

"Tell them Jeff has a beard and that I said they need to do it."

So who's with me???

So, Willy T has an idea! And he told me to tell you about it, because he is taking a break from LJ. So here it is.

Everyone always plans to burn their school stuff from the year before over the summer, but hardly anyone actually does it. Well, Will thinks that at SilverBay, we should torch everything on the first night. Yay or nay?

2 weeks, by the way! Who is in?

About how much does it cost to go for the whole week? And, would anyone's family mind sponsoring me?

10. no woman no cry - sublime
11. what i got - sublime
12. fast car - tracy chapman
13. breakfast at tiffany's - deep blue something
14. redemption song - bob marley
15. times they are a changing - bob dylan
